Baked Curly Sweet Potato Fries

Baked curly sweet potato fries with paprika served with a dip

These baked curly sweet potato fries are crispy at the edges, soft inside and lighter than deep-fried. The spiral shape makes them fun to eat, and the whole recipe takes about 35 minutes. The Götze Premium Vegetable Spiralizer turns sweet potatoes into even strands in seconds.

Serves 3-4 | Prep: 10 min | Cook: 25 min | Total: about 35 min | Calories: about 230 kcal per serving (estimate)

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • Yogurt-herb dip or ketchup, to serve

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F) and line two trays with baking paper.
  2. Spiralize the sweet potatoes with the Götze Spiralizer. Cut the long strands a few times with scissors or a knife for easier handling.
  3. Toss with oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  4. Spread in a single layer, without crowding the trays.
  5. Bake 20–25 minutes, tossing once, until crisp at the edges. Serve right away.

Pro tip: Use two trays. Crowded strands steam instead of crisping.
